How It Works
Read and analysed in this browser, in Pyodide (Python in WebAssembly), by the same
code that made the examples' reports: nothing is uploaded. The first analysis downloads about 11 MB (Python, numpy,
spglib and this site's code), kept for the next.
The spin space group's operations are found with spinspg, within the Position Tolerance
(0.01 Å unless set) and the Moment Tolerance (the same number, in μB, unless set). The crystal's
space group \(G_0\), its setting and Wyckoff positions, and for the relativistic analysis the
magnetic space group, with spglib.
Everything else is derived from those operations: the parent space group \(G\) and
\(\Gamma\), its exterior powers and wavevector content, which responses are allowed (the
tensors the group leaves unchanged), and the Brillouin zones and irreducible representations, labelled by the
ISO-IR tables.
The structure is drawn with three.js, its polyhedra by bond valence with
Brown's parameters, and the
mathematics typeset with KaTeX.
